FlowSLM

Simple models are always fun! Three rules dictate different behaviours. On the left, particles are crushed to make new colours (sizes). In the middle, particles mix by moving around randomly. On the right, large particles (blue) move to the top, while small particles (yellow) sink to the bottom.

This is the home of the stochastic lattice model code used to generate the results in Marks, Einav (2015). You’ll need python3, numpy and matplotlib installed to run the code, which can be downloaded by clicking here. The code calls on separate input files for different problems, some examples of which can be found in the inputs directory. You can run an example using:

python3 FlowSLM.py Segregation_test
