At the DynamiX laboratory we are pioneering methods for investigating the flow of granular materials using high speed X-ray radiography. Because granular materials are naturally opaque, X-rays give us a unique opportunity to see what is usually hidden from us. This technique allows us to measure a whole variety of information in real time within a granular material.
